The Director of Professional Services will lead service delivery for Exponent Partners. You will ensure that ExP continues to deliver innovative, high quality projects on-time and on-budget to nonprofit organizations around the world. The Director of Professional Services will report to the CEO and have the following responsibilities:

  • Accountable for overall success of customer engagement. Senior point of escalation for clients and our service delivery teams.
  • Coordinates multiple work efforts, ensuring that clients’ business objectives are met across all our projects.
  • Provides vision, leadership, and clear direction to ExP’s consulting and technical team. Leads the ongoing evolution of our service delivery methodology. Functions as senior project manager on some engagements.
  • Manages ExP staff and contractor resources effectively throughout the project lifecycle. Responsible for effectively balancing team resources, budget, and timelines.
  • Oversees staff recruitment, contracting, and ongoing training and team development.
  • Contributes substantially to ExP’s strategy. Maintains deep knowledge and skills in nonprofit and general commercial information technology. Stays abreast of applicable technology and business process advancements in the salesforce.com ecosystem.

Qualifications

Successful candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, business management, or a related field, and will have at least five years of experience in information technology. Nonprofit sector experience is highly valued.

  • 3+ years experience leading a team of consultants and technologists. Strong project management experience and skills are mandatory.
  • 3+ years delivering information technology projects to multiple clients. Nonprofit sector experience highly desirable.
  • Significant business management skills in finance, operations, and human resources are required. Experience managing budgets with P&L responsibility highly desirable.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and determined to produce high-quality, on-time work Strong business process focus and skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and proven project management abilities
  • Possess a sense of humor, a positive outlook, and an easy-going manner when working with others.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills as applied in client proposals, staff reviews, and everything in between.
