Steve Andersen leads Exponent Partners’ Foundation practice, helping philanthropies be more effective in driving positive social change. Prior to joining Exponent Partners, Steve spent 15 years helping nonprofits use technology to achieve their missions.
In 2006, Steve founded a Salesforce CRM consultancy at ONE/Northwest and co-founded the nonprofit Salesforce community. From there he joined Salesforce.org and led the technology team that built and grew the Nonprofit Starter Pack and all internal systems. Also at Salesforce.org, he started and led the Force for Change grant program. His most recent role was as CTO of Grameen Foundation, leading the use of mobile and cloud technology in alleviation of extreme poverty around the world. He supported the use and advancement of TaroWorks–Grameen Foundation’s Salesforce and Android-based data collection and dissemination product used in the International development and agriculture sectors. Steve holds a Biology degree from Carleton College.
