Making Dollars and Sense with Salesforce Accounting Sub-ledger

The Exponent Partners Customer Success team offers Salesforce trainings on topics that customers have requested to supplement our ongoing support services. Hosted by Customer Success Manager, Damaris Eustice, join Lara Kimberley, Senior Consultant and Fundraising Lead, for our next training at 11am PT/2pm ET on Thursday, July 30, 2020. They will be joined by Zeina Saad, and Controller, Jenn Marks, to share best practices on why the new Salesforce Accounting Subledger is great for your nonprofit.

Making Dollars and Sense with Salesforce Accounting Subledger will provide you with a foundational overview of how to prepare your fundraising information for your accounting system. With Accounting Subledger your nonprofit can ensure a single source of truth for fundraising information and streamline reconciliation with your finance system.

The 60 minute training session will include an introduction to how Accounting Subledger integrates with the Nonprofit Success Pack, live demo, and Q&A.

Dive into details to take your fundraising to the next level. Session participants will learn to consider implications for development and advancement programs such as how to:

  • Generate Debit and Credits Ledger Entries
  • Automate creation of General Ledger codes
  • Report on Allocations at the Payment level
  • Track adjustments, write-offs, and refunds

Damaris Eustice

Damaris is responsible for leveraging the knowledge and abilities of our highly skilled team to help customers achieve their goals. With over a decade of experience working for and with nonprofits, Damaris initially headed down the Executive Director track after receiving a Master’s in Public Administration, she found her passion for customer service and her strength in technology leading her in a different direction.

Lara Kimberley
Senior Consultant @Exponent Partners
Lara joined the Salesforce ecosystem in 2011 and has been implementing and extending Salesforce in nonprofits for five years. She has worked with a broad spectrum of nonprofits including food banks, education, environment and wildlife, visual art, disaster and international relief, and faith-based ministries. Lara currently holds 12 Salesforce Certifications including Application Architect, Nonprofit Cloud Consultant, and Education Cloud Consultant. She is passionate about creating solutions for organizations that are thoughtful, elegant, and scalable.

Zeina Saad
Senior Consultant @Exponent Partners
Leveraging her background in computer science and consulting, Zeina has worked with dozens of nonprofits to ensure their success at launching Salesforce in their organization. From summer camps to housing organizations, from film festivals to support services for orphans, she has helped nonprofits in different areas with their Salesforce implementations and migrations. Before diving into nonprofit consulting, Zeina was the Salesforce Administrator for a 200-person call center, a clothing manufacturer, and a large architecture firm. The diversity in her professional experience has given her an opportunity to acquire in-depth knowledge of Salesforce’s powerful capabilities. This knowledge is complemented by a computer science degree from the University of Arizona and five Salesforce certifications. Outside of work, you can find Zeina nurturing her creative side by pursuing her love of dancing and dabbling in arts and crafts projects.

Jenn Marks
Controller @Exponent Partners
As Exponent Partners’ Controller, Jenn is responsible for overseeing all aspects of finance, contracts, and human resources. Prior to joining Exponent Partners, Jenn was the Finance Director at a $5 million workforce development nonprofit in San Francisco. Jenn has extensive experience providing bookkeeping and other accounting and financial consulting services to a wide variety of nonprofits and small businesses that are intent on making the world a better place. Outside of work, Jenn enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, and volunteering at various events for her nonprofit clients. Jenn earned a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Delaware.
