What’s Inside
On September 21, 2026, foundation leaders joined panelists from the Packard, Robin Hood and William Penn foundations for a candid conversation about what’s working with AI and what isn’t. The report covers:
- The specific use cases each foundation is running, from fiscal due diligence to proposal review
- How they approach governance, data classification and agentic AI
- Lessons they would pass on to peers at earlier stages
- A stage-by-stage guide to where to start at your foundation
Five takeaways from our Panelists
- Give AI a named owner
- Start from pain points, not tools
- Data quality sets the pace
- Approve use cases, not just tools
- Validate, then validate again
The full report explains what each foundation did behind these lessons.
